My dear 80 year old Papa passed away this June and he just LOVED the Happy Goodman's and to hear Vestal. He and my Mom have some videos of the Gaither homecomings and there would be Howard sitting there with his cane and Vestal right next to him. Some day my papa will be listening to them with my dear Momma at his side again. Thank-you from the bottom of my heart.

First Yochanan (First John) 05:15 confidence poem.wfk.wps
June 15, 2005, 3:35 PM
1 John 5:14 (KJV): "And this is the confidence that we have in him, that, if we ask any thing according to him, he will hear us."
1 John 5:14 (Complete Jewish Bible): This is the confidence that we have in His presence: if we ask anything that accords with His will, he hears us.

What a Name...the Name of Jesus!
This poem is dedicated to the Messiah, Yeshua (Jesus as some know him) for the sacrifice He made when he stretched out his arms and died for you and for me. It is also dedicated to Nettie for suggesting it, thanks Nettie.

Confidence, I’ve got confidence
In Messiah I have the confidence
When things go wrong, and time seems long
In Messiah I have the confidence

I can trust Him for He said He’s coming back
And I know in His promise there is no lack
So when I look into the eastern Sky
I can see Him coming in the by and by

He said if we would ask Him any thing
He would give it to us for his glory day
He can hear us when we ask Him any thing
And will do it for us if there is a way.

First John 04:12 Have you Seen Him, Yes the Father?
First John 412 Have you seen Him, Yes the Father?
1 John 4:12 No one has ever seen G-d; If we love one another, G-d remains united with us and our love for Him has been brought to its goal in us.

Has he touched your heart? Has he shown you how beautiful His salvation is? Have you looked into His Eyes, and seen His Father and your when you did? That is what this poem is about…

Have you seen Him? yes the Father?
The one who sent His only Son
to do for us what no one else would
But He did it, He's the One

Have you seen Him? yes the Father?
If we love each other still
He will shine to show to others
all that He Has in His will

Have you seen Him? yes the Father?
He has given us His picture
and the picture of the one
in the picture of His Son

Have you seen Him? yes the Father?
Who has died upon the Tree,
It was the Son who went there really
But Showed His picture Yes, indeed

I have Seen Him, Yes the Father
For I've given my Heart to Him
and its such a blessing
to have Him know me and to know Him.

any suggestions?

Another Poem from the Bible in Poetry...

First John 01:07 Your Blood for My Sins
1 John 1:7b (KJV) ....the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin.

1 John 1:7b (CJB) But if we are walking in the light, as He is in the light, then we have fellowship with each other, and the blood of his Son Yeshua purifies us from all sin.

Have you ever stopped to think about what Messiah did for us on the cross? Here is a poem to share some of the thoughts He’s given me about it.

If we walk within the Light
That He has shone from Heaven Above
Then fellowship will come from us
And show the world all of His Love

For the fellowship that He gives us
Is meant to share with others
Share it with your Sisters and
Share it with your brothers

And His blood will purify
You from sin and selfishness
And cause you to grow close to them
That are in His Fellowship

This poem is dedicated to Connie D for the faith She has in Messiah, and for her desire to See HIS BLOOD warsh all our sins away.

What a beautiful site. I am sorry to say I didn't know the Lord or Vestal while she was living. I first heard a song by her with George Jones singing "Mansion on a Hilltop" I must say at first i didn't care for it but I kept listening to it because I love George Jones. I finally got smart and realized what a beautiful singer she was. I went out and bought the first CD of Vestal's I could find. To my dismay I learned she had already passed away. I own many of her CD's and videos now. I won't buy a new gospel CD now unless I know Vestal or the Goodmans are on it.
