I am GRATEFUL to YOU! Quite unexpectedly, a former lady student forwarded Elvis memorabilia to me along with your precious collection of audio-visuals from the 1950s and 60s, the time when I was in school and then college. Those good old days, US style even in India, for who wouldn't go crazy over Elvis and listen to the latest releases of pop songs from the USA, names like Pat Boone, Connie Francis, Chubby Checker and a host of others, and in school students would ogle Dell comics of a wide variety, 10 cents (U.S. price)apiece, I still remember, though these were banned in school?! Days of jam sessions on weekends, occasional teen parties, Radio Ceylon playing daily Western rock and pop (a rarity in Kolkata those days) and lots of dreams! My heartfelt thanks for (unknowingly) bringing me back those golden days!
